With NVC we learn to hear our own deeper needs and those of others. Through its emphasis on deep listening—to ourselves as well as others—NVC helps us discover the depth of our own compassion. This language reveals the awareness that all human beings are only trying to honor universal values and needs, every minute, every day.
NVC creates a path for healing and reconciliation in its many applications, ranging from intimate relationships,
work settings, social services, schools and social change organizations. Our clients come from all walks of life.
We offer workshops on regular bases at our venue as well as in different locations in Cabarete, Santiago
and Santo Domingo.
The form is simple, yet powerfully transformative.
NVC can be seen as both a spiritual practice that helps us see our common humanity, using our power in a way that honors everyone's needs, and a concrete set of skills which help us create life-serving families and communities.
Through the practice of NVC, we can learn to clarify what we are observing, what emotions we are feeling, what values we want to live by, and what we want to ask of ourselves and others. We will no longer need to use the language of blame, judgment or domination. We can experience the deep pleasure of contributing to each others' well being.

Practicing Yoga for many years, he experienced the roots of Indian Yoga and Ayurveda culture throughout many Indian regions.
In 2012 Konstantin founded Mira Yoga Cabarete and has since been offering group and private classes for people from all walks of life.
Currently Konstantin is continuing his education and his strive to learn in the field of Nonviolent Communication, he completed the International Intensive Training in Liguria, Italy during the summer of 2017.

At age 12 a book about Yoga, written by an Indian Yogi called Selvarajan Yesudian,
caught my attention. Yesudian was sent by is master in India to the West to create
awareness for Yoga. Reading Yesudian's book was the beginning of making Yoga
part of my life.
6 years ago I was introduced to Konstantin in Cabarete. For me it was like
meeting the reincarnation of Yogi Yesudian.
This is why I built a place for him to teach and practice. This is how Mira Yoga Cabarete
found a home in the Dominican Republic.
Konstantin has expanded his spiritual practice to teaching us how to better communicate
through his workshops based on Non Violent Communication.
Attending his workshop helped my putting fragments of knowledge I had on the subject
into a coherent concept, including an action plan for being a better partner, father and
friend to all human beings.
Being a pro athlete I have to make sure to be in my best state physically & mentally, I have discovered that the restorative movements of ancient Yoga is the perfect addition to my training program.
I must constantly balance my workout with adequate recovery time. The high-impact nature of sprinting, sparring, and weight training place a massive amount of stress on the joints, muscles, and nervous system. This is where Yoga comes in for me.
When I come to Cabarete, which is one of my favorites places in my home country of the Dominican Republic, I book private classes with Konstantin, because he understands how to apply the proper Yoga practice according to my individual needs. It keeps me loose and limber and after the class I always feel rejuvenated.
My colleagues and I went to Nepal in 2012 to shoot a documentary about the first Dominican and Caribbean expedition to Mount Everest. This was also the first time I really got in contact with Yoga & Meditation, before I never really paid much attention to it for different reasons. Right away I felt this tranquility in me and I knew I want to add this into my lifestyle, which can be quite hectic at times.
I put the intention to find a teacher, which knows about the ancient and traditional approach of Yoga & Meditation, back in the Dominican Republic. Surprisingly very close to my house it was right there waiting for me in a totally favorable environment. Konstantin teaches with great guidance to cultivate profound physical, mental and spiritual development, which makes the experience more special.
At the moment we collaborate together in the "Marullos Surf + Program", where we teach 8 kids from Aqua Negras, one of the poorest areas in Puerto Plata, surfing, yoga and english every Saturday! We have a wonderful team of supporters and we are glad that Konstantin & Mira Yoga Cabarete provide the Yoga practice, the progress of the children in all areas has been tremendous!
I first got to know Konstantin through a cooperating article on the benefits of Yoga in combination with surfing for the Yoga Journal Germany. I was immediately convinced on his expertise of both being a yogi and surfer. He is a very skilled Yoga teacher and draws his knowledge from being deeply rooted within the Sivananda Yoga lineage, which is one of the most traditionally taught Yoga styles. He not only lives the yogis principles on the mat and as a teacher but also incorporates them into his general lifestyle.
I have been practicing Yoga for more than 30 years. The regular Mira Yoga Cabarete lessons with Konstantin are an absolute highlight in my life. I am certain that Yoga is more than just a specific technique in order to connect into the depth of ones soul, it needs a capable teacher to give guidance. Konstantin relates with respect, humbleness and gratitude towards life and shares his empathy and compassion with the participants, which is the reason of his success. Besides that, the classes given by him challenge me more physically than any other Yoga style I have practiced before. Konstantin is a gift for the northcoast of the Dominican Republic and I hope he will keep teaching here.
We are working together with Konstantin since the year 2015 and request his private Yoga classes at the Gansevoort Hotel, Playa Imbert Sosua for our exclusive clients. He is a absolute professional in his field and all of our quests have been highly satisfied with his skills and profound knowledge on Yoga. We witness regularly that our guests, who take a class with him book more lessons with Konstantin immediately after.
He is doing a magical work with our clients and contributes to their wellbeing and overall positive experience at our venue.
I won't lie I do not like breathing excercices, however I have been practicing Yoga on a daily basis for over 30 years now and if it were not for Yoga I am sure I would either be dead, close to it or living a terrible quality of life.
I discovered Konstantin's classes a while ago and I have been attending on a regular basis. He teaches a traditional style of Hatha Yoga that focuses on the importance of strict alignment and attention to detail. This attention to the correct alignment in each pose is what I really enjoy in Konstantin's classes and is what I imagine the original founders of traditional Yoga were teaching a thousand years ago when it was mainstream knowledge that alignment of the spine is the key to health, and quality of life.
3 Mariposas Montessori (3MM) thoroughly enjoyed the Yoga classes which Konstantin provided for our staff and students in the past. Although many of our staff members and children had never practiced Yoga before, he made them feel comfortable and confident by guiding them every step of the way so that their first Yoga experience was an enjoyable and successful one. And in case there were any questions, he was able to find just the right explanation to help. Not only did Konstantin provide Yoga at 3MM, but he also gave a workshop on Non Violent Communication recently in 2018. Everyone who participated walked away with a number of strategies which they could put in place immediately with friends, colleagues, spouses, and parents of our 3MM students.
We were introduced to Konstantin through our friend Joana and to be fully transparent we were a bit hesitant since we didn’t have a real one on one experience with him. We are very selective about who we bring around our guests and it’s safe to say that he not only met but further exceeded our expectations.
From a fitness perspective, he was very thorough and taught our guests a lot of exercises and fitness tips that they were unfamiliar with. He was very receptive and engaging with our crew and did a great job of involving everyone to share their opinions on their goals and present experience through Yoga and Meditation.
Surprisingly, the fitness & wellness portion of the trip which he conducted, was the biggest hit of the trip and most of our guests participated in the wellness activities. Will definitely book Konstantin again for any future trips to the Dominican Republic, he is very thorough and has a knack for teaching and understanding his clients. We look forward to our next experience with him!
Wonderful Yoga class and teacher. The Yoga studio is absolutely stunning, it's quite magical.
Konstantin is a great teacher very knowledgeable, with a wonderful personality.
His Yoga class is a deep experience on the physical and mental level. I very much enjoy the way he is teaching pranayama techniques every time during his class, (either before or after the asanas) something we can all benefit in our busy life.
I feel refreshed and calm after the class and very much enjoy it so I go as much as I can.
For me, Mira Yoga Cabarete is much more than just participating in a Yoga class; it is about well being and not just doing. It is a powerful path for integration of body, mind and soul. During the Yoga class, Konstantin guides the group with accuracy through each asana, and he explains very well the importance of tension and relaxation of muscles. The breathing exercises bring me back to the present moment and give me peace of mind. During the group meditation, as he speaks about old wisdoms it allows me to reconnect with the truth of Yoga. I can say that Mira Yoga Cabarete stands for a holistic lifestyle of health, truth, well being, nutrition, wisdom and abundance.
As an active member within the community of Cabarete, I am always looking for is who doing something interesting and positive. Myself, I participate locally in various cultural, artistic, non-profit and sports related projects.
In that search I met Konstantin and since his interest is to bring the teachings of Yoga to all people, we started our collaboration.
The team of Jiu Jitsu de la Costa feels very grateful for being able to have Mira Yoga Cabarete as part of the activities offered weekly in our dojo.
The way Konstantin introduces Yoga makes it feel easy to pick it up, no matter if the person is a beginner in that field.
I consider Yoga as one of the greatest practices incorporated by mankind and being able to offer the access to it, to people despite their economic situation, it is an important contribution for our community and to development of its members.
As a proud new mom, I am eternally grateful for the experience I had training with Konstantin during my pregnancy. Not only was it a pleasure to train in Cabarete, the hours spent with Mira Yoga Cabarete were indispensable. I was able to keep my body strong and my mind at peace. It was very important for me to keep a mind-body-spiritual connection as my baby was growing and connect with her. I had less aches and lower stress levels. I was fortunate to be guided by Konstantin during my pregnancy, and highly recommend his classes to any becoming mother!
To breath, it seems like such a simple concept, but it isn't. I have had the pleasure of starting so many days with Konstantin and Mira Yoga Cabarete, moving my body, breathing and finding the place I need to be. I have practiced Yoga in many places, many countries and I have never had a more positive experience.
